What anti-mould actually means in a Singapore home
Singapore air sits at 75–85% relative humidity for most of the year. A bathroom after a shower touches 95%. That is the room your paint has to live in — not the test chamber on a brochure. The failure you can see is mould blooming on the paint face; the failure you cannot see is a wet substrate underneath, which no paint can fix. Perma-White answers the first directly: a bonded mildewcide inside the cured film, not sprayed on top, so the protection does not rinse away with the first wipe-down.
The tin, delivered
S$109 for the untinted white 3.78L gallon. S$159 for any of 265 Atelier shades, tinted to order. Delivery is a flat S$20 anywhere in Singapore — white ships immediately, tinted tins leave the workshop in two to three working days.

Where it earns its keep
- Bathrooms and service yards — the walls that get wet, steamed and wiped every week.
- Kitchen splash zones — the perimeter walls around the hob and sink.
- Bedrooms with poor cross-ventilation — where mould pressure builds quietly behind furniture.
- Post-remediation repaints — after a fungicidal wash and stabilisation, this is the long-term film.

The warm-white family is the most-specified tint band — these shades hide micro-imperfections, sit cleanly under both daylight and warm LED, and reflect enough light to keep a small HDB room feeling open.
What we will not tell you on a billboard
Perma-White is not magic. It does not fix a wall that is wet on the inside. If the corner is mouldy because a condensate line leaks or a planter wall pushes water through the slab, the source comes first — our guide to the waterproofing layer explains that side of the wall. Paint is the last ten percent; substrate health is the first ninety.
Common questions
What makes Perma-White different from a normal anti-mould paint?
The mildewcide is bonded into the dried paint film, not sprayed on as a surface treatment. It stays effective after repeated wipe-downs instead of washing away the first time the wall is cleaned.
Can Perma-White be tinted into any Atelier colour?
Yes. The full 265-shade Atelier library can be tinted into Perma-White at S$159 per 3.78L tin — the white base plus a S$50 tinting charge. Tinting uses manufacturer-approved colourant loadings, so the 5-year mould and mildew-proof film warranty is unchanged.
Does Perma-White need a separate primer?
On most cured interior substrates, including previously painted walls, it is self-priming. On bare skim coat, fresh plaster, or patched sections, a dedicated sealer coat first is the honest answer.
How long before the room is usable after painting?
Touch-dry in roughly one hour at Singapore ambient humidity; safe to occupy the same evening; full cure — maximum mould resistance and wipeability — at seven days.
